About Us
Our Aim
Students for Life St Andrews is a consistent life ethic group. We maintain that all lives are valuable, regardless of disability, situation and circumstance.
What is the consistent life ethic?
The belief that human beings have inherent dignity from fertilisation until natural death.
Our Three Pillars
Education: We invite speakers to give talks to inform us on the issues important to us.
Service: We do charity work such as volunteering at the local pregnancy support centre in Dundee (Dundee Pregnancy and Parenthood Support - DPAPS).
Community: We have society socials.
Which issues are important to students for life?
Any issue which is an affront to human dignity. These things include but are not limited to: euthanasia, abortion, domestic violence, human trafficking and pornography.
Is any of our focus legal when it comes to assisted suicide and abortion?
As a society we believe that assisted suicide and abortion should be unthinkable and we would be in favour of laws to abolish them. However, our focus is to advocate for a culture of life through the consistent life ethic. We educate, serve and gather to this end.
