We get a lot of questions about our position on the legality of issues like abortion, euthanasia, the death penalty, etc. Our answer is that this is what living in a pro-death, eugenics-based culture looks like. Imposing legislation doesn't always adequately address the root causes of these issues or the pro-death narrative that people are disposable. Students for Life St Andrews is committed to doing the work necessary to rebuild our community in the image of humanity and dignity for every person. The only way we can do this is to act.
For our society, this looks like partnership with local organizations whose purpose is to provide concrete assistance to those in crisis situations under our umbrella of pro-life causes. You can see some of our commitments this year below, and we will provide updates on our collaborations with them on this page.
The Alma Mater Fund provides financial grants and other avenues of support to pregnant university students in Scotland to support them in pursuing their goals.
St Andrews Community Hub provides a community cafe and dementia-friendly activities in town to combat loneliness and build community for older St Andreans.
DPAPS is a voluntary organisation offering support to pregnant women and parents. They help with the supply of baby equipment, provide companionship at appointments and help with accessing benefits and financial assistance.
